Fall Turf Mowing Tips

If any one thing needs to be done correctly, it is proper mowing height. It’s suggested that we mow tall until late fall.  As cold weather arrives and we start to see hard frost developing we can lower our mowing height down to 2 to 2 and half inches.  The key here is “DO NOT SCALP THE TURF.  Continue to mow the turf as long as it’s still growing or actually goes dormant.
